We’ve been testing the Oppo Find X7 Ultra at the office and have now completed its battery life test. We’re not done with the review but we thought we’d share the endurance numbers while we’re working on the rest of the tests.
The Oppo Find X7 Ultra has the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, which is built on a supposedly more efficient 4nm node than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, and the chip is mated to a sizeable 5,000mAh battery. It would’ve been even better if the battery was a 5,400mAh unit as on the OnePlus 12, but the Find X7 Ultra is hefty enough (221g), so perhaps the selected capacity is a good balance.
The Oppo Find X7 Ultra scored 12:47 hours in our active use score, which is built on the solid nearly 28 hours of talk time, great 16:45 hours of video playback, and nearly 13 hours of browsing. The only unimpressive area is gaming, where the Find X7 Ultra lasted for 6 hours and 42 minutes on a charge. That’s almost two hours less than other Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 phones like the iQOO 12 and over two hours less than the vivo X100 Pro. Though the vivo has a 400mAh advantage in capacity.
