Poco C65 in for review

We have the new Poco C65 in for review so let’s do an unboxing. The phone comes in a modest package with only a USB cable and a 10W charger. There’s no bundled case and if you want to maximize the C65’s charging potential, you need to get an 18W charger.

There’s good reason for the retail cutbacks. The Poco C65 costs just $129 and $149 for the 6/128GB and 8/256GB models (early bird prices are $109/$129). And at those modest prices, you’re getting a lot of phone both metaphorically and literally – the Poco C65 feels big.

It’s wide and tall and weighs nearly 200 grams, but it justifies it with a big display and a 5,000mAh battery.

The 6.74-inch IPS LCD has a maximum refresh rate of 90Hz. The panel is adequately bright, but the 720x1600px resolution is stretched thin on such a large panel.

Then there’s the 12nm Helio G85 chipset – a similar 12nm offering as the Helio G88 inside the Poco C55. This isn’t the fastest nor most efficient chip around and we’ll pay extra attention to the C65’s battery life and performance in our full review. Stick around for that!
